Chris Perez Named to International Documentary Association’s Board of Directors

Partner Chris Perez has been named to the Board of Directors for the International Documentary Association (IDA), an organization dedicated to building and serving the needs of a thriving documentary culture. Through its programs, the IDA provides resources, creates community, and defends rights and freedoms for documentary artists, activists, and journalists.

Chris and Partner Michael Donaldson have teamed up with the IDA on several of the firm’s advocacy projects, including successfully appealing to the U.S. Copyright Office for exemptions to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act that allows documentary filmmakers to access and use footage that was previously unavailable to them. He has also hosted lectures for members of the IDA.
