Michael Donaldson and Chris Perez to Present an Indie Filmmaking Legal Update at SXSW
Michael Donaldson and Chris Perez have been invited to speak again at this year’s South By Southwest film festival taking place from March 8 to March 16, 2024, in Austin, Texas. Their presentation, “Annual Legal Update – Indie Film,” will take place on March 8th from 2:30 to 3:30 pm CT in the Austin Convention Center.
During the presentation, Michael and Chris will analyze the current film distribution landscape and provide updates on the state of filmmaking law, including two Supreme Court cases this past year involving fair use and trademark law as well as a recap regarding the Small Claims Copyright Court. This presentation is part of an ongoing annual update series provided by DCP.
