Lisa Callif and Chris Perez Recognized in Variety’s 2026 “Legal Impact Report”
The firm congratulates DCP Partners Lisa Callif and Chris Perez on their selection to Variety’s 2026 “Legal Impact Report.” The highly selective feature annually recognizes Hollywood’s top legal professionals, including the dealmakers behind the industry’s most cutting-edge transactions.
In Lisa and Chris’s profile, Variety spotlights their work on documentary and independent films and their dedicated approach to helping these films come to fruition. This includes Lisa’s work as clearance counsel on the Oscar-nominated film “Blue Moon” and the documentary “Pee-wee as Himself,” which she described as an “intense” experience, as “the rights of some of the programs are from the ‘80s, and kind of hard to track down.” Chris cites “Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie” as his favorite project over the past few years, explaining that when the filmmakers picked up the phone and asked, “Can we do this?” when pushing limits for the film, Chris was usually able to find a way.
As film and TV budgets undergo budget cuts, Lisa tells Variety, “We’re learning how to adapt and be more nimble to service our clients in the same way we did before. We don’t want to compromise our work.”
