Congratulations to our clients at the 2019 Telluride Film Festival!

This year’s 46th annual festival ran from August 30th through September 2nd in Telluride, Colorado. 

We want to send a special congratulations to our clients who will be premiered their projects at the festival. 

Uncut Gems 

Directors: Benny Safdie and Josh Safdie 

Set in the diamond district of New York City, Howard Ratner, a jewelry store owner and dealer to the rich and famous, must find a way to pay his debts when his merchandise is taken from one of his top sellers and girlfriend.

The Kingmaker 

Director: Lauren Greenfield

Documentary centering on the controversial political career of Imelda Marcos, the former first lady of the Philippines whose behind-the-scenes influence of her husband Ferdinand’s presidency rocketed her to the global political stage.

Inside Bill’s Brain

Director: Davis Guggenheim

The series “offers unprecedented access to Gates as he pursues unique solutions to some of the world’s most complex problems with the same level of optimism, curiosity, and fervor that inspired his original vision for Microsoft,” according to Netflix’s release. The series includes interviews with Bill and Melinda Gates, as well as their friends, family and partners in philanthropy and business.

Coup 53 

Director: Taghi Amirani

Theatrical feature documentary on the story of Operation Ajax, the CIA/MI6 staged coup in 1953 in Iran that overthrew Prime Minister Mossadegh. Taghi Amirani goes further back in time, all the way to the summer of 1953, which marked the real beginnings of the discord. , orchestrated by the U.S. and U.K. Under the code name Operation Ajax, the two nations collaborated to overthrow the democratically elected Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh (who alarmed them by nationalizing Iran’s oil industry) and to reinstall the Shah.

The Assistant

Director: Kitty Green

A look at the day in the life of the assistant to a powerful corporate executive. The film centers on a recent college grad and hopeful producer who landed a dream job as a junior assistant to a powerful entertainment mogul in a New York City production office and soon stars to encounter various moments of abuse and degradations.

Waves 

Director: Trey Edward Shults

Two young couples navigate through the emotional minefield of growing up and falling in love. Set against the vibrant landscape of South Florida, and featuring an astonishing ensemble of award-winning actors and breakouts alike, WAVES traces the epic emotional journey of a suburban African-American family as they navigate love, forgiveness, and coming together in the aftermath of a loss. WAVES is a heartrending story about the universal capacity for compassion and growth even in the darkest of times.
