Chris Perez to Speak on Panel Hosted by Fine Gold Music
Chris Perez is slated to speak as a panelist at an event hosted by Fine Gold Music in collaboration with DCP and Gray Schwartz LLP on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 11 am to 2 pm.
On the panel, titled “Music for Film: An Industry Conversation,” Chris will be joined by film producer Caryn Capotosto, music supervisor Jonathan Finegold, and composer Heather McIntosh to candidly discuss the ways music transcends into film in celebration of Tribeca Film Festival.
The group of industry experts will delve into how to find the right composer, navigate the licensing maze, spotting sessions, and more. Drawing upon his legal experience, Chris will provide guidance for filmmakers on how the music licensing process differs between documentaries and scripted films, as well as unpack the intricacies of Fair Use doctrine.
