Chris Perez to Speak on Beverly Hills Bar Association Panel Examining the Intersection of AI and Documentary Filmmaking

Chris Perez will join the Beverly Hills Bar Association’s Entertainment Law Section for a virtual panel entitled “Prepublication Review in the Age of AI” on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 12:30 PM PST. Chris will be joined by UCLA School of Law’s Dale Cohen and Jassy Vick Carolan LLP’s Amanda Harris for an insightful legal conversation moderated by Signature Resolution’s David Shraga.

Together, these industry leaders will explore the intersection of AI, copyright, and documentary filmmaking, offering BHBA members an opportunity to engage directly with legal professionals. Throughout the discussion, the panelists will help filmmakers and their counsel navigate evolving legal questions surrounding fair use, editing and manipulation risks, transparency and disclosure, copyrightability of AI-generated material, and more.
