Chris Perez Speaks at Southwestern Law School’s Entertainment and Media Law Conference

Chris Perez recently spoke at the Southwestern Law School’s Entertainment and Media Law Conference on Thursday, March 20, 2025. The 22nd annual forum, hosted at the Media Law Resource Center, aims to bring together a group of renowned experts to discuss this year’s most timely, vital, and nuanced topics in entertainment and media law.

Chris facilitated one of three breakout discussions that took place from 3:45 to 4:45 pm alongside Lindsey Faivus, the Director & Senior Counsel of Intellectual Property at Netflix. The session, entitled “Pre-Publication Review for Non-Scripted Content,” delved into the roadblocks filmmakers can face during pre-publication review, when reshoots may not be an option and their most problematic material may be the most fascinating part of the script.
