Chris Perez and Michael Donaldson to Present Annual Indie Filmmaking Legal Update at SXSW

Chris Perez and Michael Donaldson have been invited to speak again at this year’s South By Southwest (SXSW) film festival taking place from March 7 to March 15, 2025, in Austin, Texas. Their presentation, titled “The Indie Film Annual Legal Update: AI, Fair Use, and More,” will take place on Saturday, March 8th from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm CT in the Austin Convention Center.

During the presentation, Chris and Michael will analyze the many drastic shifts that the film distribution landscape has undergone in the past year, including legal issues relating to AI and fair use legislation, and more. This presentation is part of an ongoing annual update series provided by DCP.
