Josh Y. Neubarth
Josh Neubarth joined Donaldson Callif Perez in 2020. Inspired by the art of storytelling, Josh works in the firm’s production legal practice where he represents independent filmmakers and content creators in all aspects of development, rights acquisition, production and distribution.
Josh received his law degrees from the University of Montreal (LL.B.) and Osgoode Hall Law School (J.D), and is a member of the California and Quebec Bars. Passionate about the entertainment industry and the protection of creativity and content, he pursued a masters degree at UCLA School of Law with a specialization in Entertainment, Media and Intellectual Property Law. While studying at UCLA, Josh completed externships for an independent production company and a provider of music rights data services. Prior to joining the firm, Josh was an associate at a Canadian intellectual property law firm where his practice focused on complex copyright, media and trademark litigation in the entertainment, telecommunications, sports and fashion industries.
Josh currently lives in Los Angeles near Venice beach, and is grateful to help artists tell their stories.
