Jameel P. Diaz
Jameel P. Diaz joined Donaldson Callif Perez in 2022. Jameel works in all areas of the firm’s film and media practices. He largely focuses his practice on the intersection of music and film, with particular emphasis on obtaining clearance rights for inclusion in all aspects of film.
Prior to joining the firm, Jameel successfully ran a solo practice for five years where he represented the creative, business and intellectual property interests of individuals and multi-national corporations in the areas of music, film, television, fashion, sports licensing and digital media. With a career in the arts spanning more than two decades, Jameel’s diversity and experience allow him to converse with clients on an intimate level. His background in entertainment includes experience as a performing artist, songwriter, music producer, audio engineer, artist manager, and executive film producer.
In his personal time, Jameel enjoys traveling, writing and recording music, playing sports, watching “mindless” television, spending time with his daughter and reading. Jameel is also a proud and decorated US Army Veteran.
